Chicago based bassist, composer and bandleader Andrew Vogt has written original pieces and arrangements for the all-female led ATLYS String Quartet, EDM artist Seven Lions, 80’s hit machine Tom Kelly and electric jazz ensemble Bonzo Squad. Vogt’s music has been performed across the world, featured in full length movies and his collaborations amass to over 24 hours worth of music (over 30 albums) on Spotify. In town, he has performed with jazz legends such as Randy Brecker, Bob Reynolds, Ernie Watts, Donny McCaslin and Nicholas Payton. His current album “Awakening” fuses elements of American jazz harmony, Eastern folk odd meters and modern electronic writing techniques.
